How to Create UTM Parameters for your Ad Campaigns

To see how well your ads are working, each ad that sends people to your website should include tracking info in the link. This lets tools like Report Rover™ know where your visitors came from.

The tracking information can vary by platform, but it’s always a safe choice to use the standard that Google put in place to help measure your ad’s performance.

  • Start by visiting Google’s Campaign URL builder linked below:
  • Fill out the required fields in the URL builder
    • Website URL: The exact page you want people to land on after clicking your ad.
    • Campaign Source: Where the ad is running—like google, facebook, or linkedin.
    • Campaign Medium: The ad type—like Report Rover, cpc (cost-per-click), banner, or email.
    • Campaign Name: Give your campaign a short name so you can recognize it later.

Once you fill everything out, copy the link that’s generated. That’s your new ad link—with tracking built in.

Paste that link into your Report Rover ad, and you’re good to go.

When people click it, Report Rover™ will pick up those details—so you can see which companies came from which ads. No guesswork, just insights.
